In Monday's non-league game, the visiting New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers baseball team scored a tight 5-1 victory over the Quincy Blue Devils.
The Vipers (7-7) will now prepare for their game against PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL). The Bluejays go into the Sangamo game with a 10-8 record. In their last game, PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central tipped Liberty (Liberty, IL), 12-9, in a non-league game.
The Blue Devils (5-10) will now prepare for their game against Macomb (Macomb, IL). The Bombers go into the non-league game with a 5-9 record. In their last game, Macomb was overwhelmed by Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL), 6-1, in a league game.
