Central Bulldogs (Springfield, MO) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Joplin Eagles (Joplin, MO), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Lebanon Yellowjackets (Lebanon, MO) in a Class 4 District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, April 16. Central will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Glendale (Springfield, MO).

The Eagles now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Republic for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Joplin will face a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Harrison (Harrison, AR). The Tigers record now stands at 8-4.
