The Plainfield South Cougars held off the host Kaneland Knights soccer squad by a margin of 1-0 in Monday's non-league match.

The Cougars now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plainfield North for a Suburban Prairie game on Tuesday, April 16. Plainfield South will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Oswego East (Oswego, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 11-2.

The Knights (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Sycamore (Sycamore, IL). The Spartans go into the Interstate Eight game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Sycamore nipped LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL), 3-0, in a league game.
