In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting Landrum Cardinals soccer squad scored a close 4-3 triumph over the Union County Yellowjackets.
The Cardinals (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Spartanburg Day (Spartanburg, SC). The Griffins enter the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Spartanburg Day tipped Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC), 2-0, in a league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Emerald for a AAA Region 4 challenge on Friday, April 19. Union County will confront a Vikings team coming off a 8-1 league win over Chester (Chester, SC). The Vikings record now stands at 9-3.
