Chesapeake Cougars (Pasadena, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting South River Seahawks (Edgewater, MD), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Chesapeake will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 18-3 non-league loss to Arundel (Gambrills, MD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, South River falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Seahawks host Glen Burnie (Glen Burnie, MD) to battle the Gophers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Gophers enter the challenge with a record of 1-3.
