Brandon Valley Lynx (Brandon, SD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD), 5-1 in a league challenge.

The Lynx now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Spearfish for a Class AA challenge on Friday, April 19. Brandon Valley will face a Spartans squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Stevens (Rapid City, SD). The Spartans record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Brookings falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Jefferson (Sioux Falls, SD) to face the Cavaliers in a Class AA challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Cavaliers enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Jefferson won 11-2 in their recent league challenge against Watertown (Watertown, SD)
