St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles (St. Elmo, IL), 23-1 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mattoon for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. St. Anthony will battle a Greenwave squad coming off a 11-8 league loss to Effingham (Effingham, IL). The Greenwave record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Brownstown/St. Elmo falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Ramsey (Ramsey, IL) to battle the Rams in a Egyptian Illini challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 0-9. Ramsey lost 6-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Altamont (Altamont, IL)
