The East Central Eagles softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Floodwood Polar Bears to 5 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, East Central improves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Eagles host Hinckley-Finlayson (Hinckley, MN) to clash with the Jaguars in a Great River game on Tuesday, April 16. The Jaguars come into the game with a record of 0-1. Hinckley-Finlayson lost 9-5 in their recent league game against Braham (Braham, MN)

In their next game, the Polar Bears clash with the McGregor Mercuries (McGregor, MN) in a Polar game, on Thursday, April 18. Floodwood will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Mercuries come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN).
