The East Grand Forks Green Wave softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds to 0 in the Green Wave non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, East Grand Forks improves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Green Wave host Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (Badger, MN) to clash with the Gators in a Freelance game on Thursday, April 18. The Gators come into the game with a record of 3-2. Badger/Greenbush-Middle River won 12-2 in their recent non-league game against Warroad (Warroad, MN)

In their next game, the Thunderbirds clash with the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders (Lake Park, MN) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 16. Mahnomen/Waubun will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
