In Monday's non-league contest, the Eastern Comets (Greentown, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host Rochester Zebras (Rochester, IN), by a margin of 8-3.

With the triumph, Eastern moves its record to 2-4 on the year. The Comets travel to Clinton Prairie (Frankfort, IN) to play the Gophers in a Hoosier Heartland contest on Tuesday, April 16. The Gophers come into the contest with a record of 1-2. Clinton Prairie won 13-2 in their recent non-league contest against Faith Christian (Lafayette, IN)

In their next game, the Zebras play the Southwood Knights (Wabash, IN) in a Three Rivers contest, on Wednesday, April 17. Rochester will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Eastbrook (Marion, IN).
