New Site Royals (New Site, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS), 16-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Royals now own a 7-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Varsity Opponent for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15.

With the loss, Falkner falls to 12-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host Jumpertown (Booneville, MS) to battle the Cardinals in a 1A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Jumpertown lost 23-0 in their recent league challenge against Myrtle (Myrtle, MS)
