Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Pendleton County Wildcats (Falmouth, KY), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bluebirds now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Bellevue for a District 36 challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Highlands will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 21-3 non-league win over Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Pendleton County falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Mason County (Maysville, KY) to battle the Royals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Royals enter the challenge with a record of 7-5. Mason County won 17-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Paris (Paris, KY)
