Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Golden Aces now own a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they host Casey-Westfield for a Little Illini challenge on Thursday, April 18. Mt. Carmel will face a Warriors squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Richland County (Olney, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 23-1.

With the loss, Lawrenceville falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Richland County (Olney, IL) to face the Tigers in a Little Illini challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Richland County lost 7-0 in their recent league challenge against Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL)
