The crowd at Monday's league match between the New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT) and the visiting Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), saw New Canaan's softball squad nip Staples by a count of 5-4.

The Rams now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Danbury for a Fairfield County match on Tuesday, April 16. New Canaan will face a Hatters squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Trumbull (Trumbull, CT). The Hatters record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Staples falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wreckers host McMahon (Norwalk, CT) to face the Senators in a Fairfield County match on Wednesday, April 17. The Senators enter the match with a record of 1-4. McMahon lost 5-3 in their recent league match against Greenwich (Greenwich, CT)
