Plainfield Quakers (Plainfield, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northview Knights (Brazil, IN), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Quakers now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Martinsville for a Mid-State challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Plainfield will battle a Artesians squad coming off a 9-0 league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, IN). The Artesians record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Northview falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Owen Valley (Spencer, IN) to battle the Patriots in a Western Indiana challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 2-4.
