Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Riverdale Falcons (Mt. Blanchard, OH), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Baltimore for a Northwest Ohio Athletic challenge on Thursday, April 18. Vanlue will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Ridgedale (Morral, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Riverdale falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Falcons host Northmor (Galion, OH) to battle the Golden Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Golden Knights enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Northmor lost 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Danville (Danville, OH)
