Illinois High School Baseball - Lincoln loses to Springfield

The Lincoln Railsplitters baseball squad (Lincoln, IL), was overwhelmed 12-1 in Tuesday's league contest with the visiting Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL)

With the triumph, Springfield moves its record to 4-8 on the season. The Senators host Lanphier (Springfield, IL) to confront the Lions in a Central State Eight contest on Wednesday, April 16. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 0-10. Lanphier lost 21-0 in their recent league contest against Rochester (Rochester, IL)

The Railsplitters now possess a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Champaign Central for a non-league contest on Thursday, April 17. Lincoln will confront a Maroons squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Normal West (Normal, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 8-8.
