Illinois High School Baseball - North Clay/Clay City wallops Mt. Carmel

April 15, 2025: Louisville, IL

The North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL) baseball trounced the visiting Mt. Carmel Golden Aces (Mt. Carmel, IL), 11-1 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The now own a 11-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Effingham for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 17. North Clay/Clay City will clash with a Hearts team coming off a 11-7 non-league win over Richland County (Olney, IL). The Hearts record now stands at 9-5.

With the defeat, Mt. Carmel drops to 8-3 on the year. The Golden aces travel to Newton (Newton, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Little Illini challenge on Thursday, April 17. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Newton won 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Dieterich (Dieterich, IL)
