Fans at Tuesday's non-league test between the Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) and the visiting Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI), witnessed Portage Central's lacrosse squad hold off Harper Creek by a count of 8-7.

The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Mattawan (Mattawan, MI). The Wildcats enter the Division 2 District 10 test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Mattawan nipped Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MI), 17-3, in a league test.

Next, the Beavers battle the Pennfield Panthers (Battle Creek, MI) in a non-league test, on Thursday, April 17. Harper Creek will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Panthers enter the test with a 0-6 record after their 15-2 non-league loss to Portage Northern (Portage, MI).
