The Saugerties Sawyers lacrosse squad scored 16 points and limited the visiting Kingston Tigers to 8 in the Sawyers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Sawyers now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Newburgh Free Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 17. Saugerties will clash with a Goldbacks squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Pine Bush (Pine Bush, NY). The Goldbacks record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Kingston falls to 2-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 21. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Minisink Valley lost 17-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Queensbury (Queensbury, NY)
