Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA) and the host Westlake Lions (Atlanta, GA), saw Cedar Grove's soccer squad hold off Westlake by a count of 7-6.
The Saints (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Berkmar (Lilburn, GA). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 7-8 record. In their last battle, Berkmar tipped Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA), 8-4, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Lions battle the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 17. Westlake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 8-6 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Paulding County (Dallas, GA).
