In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Dumont Huskies softball team scored a tight 10-8 victory over the Paramus Spartans.
The Huskies (5-7) will now prepare for their match against Ridgefield Park (Ridgefield Park, NJ). The Scarlets go into the Big North - American match with a 0-7 record. In their last match, Ridgefield Park by Pascack Hills (Montvale, NJ), 17-2, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ) in a Big North - Freedom match, on Thursday, April 16. Paramus will attempt to better on its 1-5 season record. The Comets go into the match with a 5-7 record after their 19-0 non-league win over Dwight Morrow (Englewood, NJ).
