With the win, Boyd County upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Lions host Huntington (Huntington, WV) to battle the Highlanders in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 19. The Highlanders come into the test with a record of 12-5. Huntington lost 8-7 in their recent league test against Hurricane (Hurricane, WV)

With the defeat, Johnson Central falls to 7-12 on the season. The Golden eagles host Paintsville (Paintsville, KY) to battle the Tigers in a District 57 test on Tuesday, April 19. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 5-5. Paintsville won 17-1 in their recent non-league test against Floyd Central (Eastern, KY)
