The Naperville Central Redhawks crushed the host Plainfield East Bengals baseball team by a count of 11-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Redhawks now possess a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Neuqua Valley for a DuPage Valley bout on Monday, April 18. Naperville Central will face a Wildcats team coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-5.
Next, the Bengals face the Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL) in a Southwest Prairie bout, on Monday, April 18. Plainfield East will attempt to move on its 7-6 season record. The Steelmen enter the bout with a 4-9 record after their 13-3 league loss to Oswego (Oswego, IL).
