Morton Potters (Morton, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Potters now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Peoria for a challenge on Tuesday, April 19. Morton will face a Raiders squad coming off a 11-6 non-league loss to Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Normal Community falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Ironmen host Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to face the Knights in a challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
