The Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC) softball nipped the visiting James F. Byrnes Rebels (Duncan, SC), 6-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Patriots (11-4) will now prepare for their bout against Jordan (Durham, NC). The Falcons go into the DAC-VII 4A bout with a 9-3 record. In their last bout, Jordan held off Riverside-Durham (Durham, NC), 20-5, in a league bout.

The Rebels now possess a 15-4 record. They play next when they travel to Dorman for a AAAAA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, April 19. James F. Byrnes will confront a Cavaliers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Mauldin (Mauldin, SC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 14-4.
