Plainfield North Tigers (Plainfield, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles East for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Plainfield North will battle a Fighting Saints squad coming off a 20-19 league loss to Lake Park (Roselle, IL). The Fighting Saints record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Oak Park-River Forest falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, IL) to battle the Red Devils in a West Suburban - Silver challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a record of 2-3.
