New Mexico High School Softball - Valley gets by Valencia

The Valley Vikings got by the host Valencia Jaguars softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Vikings (11-9) will now prepare for their battle against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies go into the 4A District 6 battle with a 0-9 record. In their last battle, Hope Christian was edged by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 15-0, in a league battle.

The Jaguars now possess a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Sandia for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 20. Valencia will meet a Matadors squad coming off a 8-7 league loss to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors record now stands at 10-8.
