In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers baseball team scored a nice 17-2 victory over the Cissna Park Timberwolves.
The Panthers (8-7) will now prepare for their game against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages go into the Illini Prairie game with a 21-0 record. In their last game, Monticello overcame Salt Fork (Sidell, IL), 10-0, in a non-league game.
The Timberwolves (1-9) will now prepare for their game against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman (Georgetown, IL). The Buffaloes go into the Vermilion Valley game with a 1-9 record. In their last game, Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman was overwhelmed by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL), 17-0, in a league game.
