The Ansonia Tigers routed the host Newton Local Indians softball squad by a final score of 7-1 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Tigers (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mississinawa Valley (Union City, OH). The Blackhawks go into the Western Ohio Athletic battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Mississinawa Valley held off Twin Valley South (West Alexandria, OH), 11-3, in a league battle.

The Indians now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Ponitz Career Tech for a non-league battle on Wednesday, April 17.
