Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Harding for a All-American challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Austintown-Fitch will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 11-1 league loss to Boardman (Youngstown, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Riverside falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to North (Eastlake, OH) to battle the Rangers in a Western Reserve challenge on Wednesday, April 17. The Rangers enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. North won 18-8 in their recent league challenge against Mayfield (Mayfield, OH)
