The Frankton Eagles softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders to 3 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Frankton moves its record to 5-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Mississinewa (Gas City, IN) to play the Indians in a Central Indiana game on Thursday, April 18. The Indians come into the game with a record of 3-2. Mississinewa lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Lapel (Lapel, IN)

In their next game, the Marauders play the New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage game, on Thursday, April 18. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Dragons come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 11-2 league win over Yorktown (Yorktown, IN).
