Pinkerton Astros (Derry, NH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Merrimack Tomahawks (Merrimack, NH), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Astros now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Manchester Central for a challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Pinkerton will face a Little Green squad coming off a 13-0 non-league loss to Londonderry (Londonderry, NH). The Little Green record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Merrimack falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Tomahawks host Nashua North (Nashua, NH) to face the Titans in a Division I challenge on Monday, April 22. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 0-4.
