Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA), 13-5 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bellingham for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Wednesday, April 17. Mount Vernon will battle a Bayhawks squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to Anacortes (Anacortes, WA). The Bayhawks record now stands at 0-13.

With the loss, Oak Harbor falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to battle the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 5-3. Burlington-Edison won 16-6 in their recent league game against Lakewood (Arlington, WA)
