The Burns Bulldogs triumphed over the visiting Trinity Bulldogs baseball squad by a score of 14-1 in Wednesday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A outing, on Tuesday, April 22. Burns will attempt to advance on its 18-3 season record. The Golden Lions come into the outing with a 5-13 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to Tuscola (Waynesville, NC).
The Bulldogs (14-5) will now prepare for their outing against Randleman (Randleman, NC). The Tigers come into the Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A outing with a 13-4 record. In their last outing, Randleman toppled New Hanover (Wilmington, NC), 4-3, in a non-league outing.
