The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Episcopal Academy Churchmen (Newtown Square, PA) and the visiting Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), saw Episcopal Academy's baseball team gain a win over Marple Newtown by a tally of 8-1.

The Churchmen (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (Philadelphia, PA). The Blue Devils enter the PAISAA battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy was overwhelmed by La Salle College (Wyndmoor, PA), 5-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Fightin' Tigers face the Ridley Raiders (Folsom, PA) in a Central battle, on Wednesday, April 23. Marple Newtown will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
