Fans at Wednesday's non-league test between the Rancho Cotate Cougars (Rohnert Park, CA) and the host Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA), witnessed Rancho Cotate's lacrosse squad hold off Berkeley by a count of 9-8.
The Cougars (10-2) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont (Piedmont, CA). The Highlanders enter the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Piedmont nipped Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA), 8-7, in a league test.
Next, the Yellowjackets battle the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers (San Francisco, CA) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, April 23. Berkeley will attempt to move on its 13-3 season record. The Tigers enter the test with a 10-2 record after their 0-0 non-league Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA).
