With the triumph, Cumberland upgrades its record to 4-9 on the year. The Pirates travel to Arcola (Arcola, IL) to play the Purple Riders in a Lincoln Prairie game on Thursday, April 17. The Purple Riders enter the game with a record of 5-8. Arcola won 13-6 in their recent league game against Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL)

The Greenwave now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg for a non-league game on Friday, April 18. Mattoon will play a squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL). The record now stands at 13-2.
