The Patrick Henry Patriots softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Deep Run Wildcats to 7 in the Patriots non-league win on Wednesday.

The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mechanicsville for a Capital battle on Friday, April 18. Patrick Henry will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Caroline (Milford, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Deep Run moves to 4-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Hermitage (Richmond, VA) to confront the Panthers in a Colonial battle on Friday, April 18. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 1-5. Hermitage lost 10-7 in their recent non-league battle against L.C. Bird (Chesterfield, VA)
