The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Nashville Scrappers (Nashville, AR) and the visiting Genoa Central Dragons (Texarkana, AR), observed Nashville's softball team get by Genoa Central by a tally of 8-5.

The Scrappers (16-7) will now prepare for their bout against Hope (Hope, AR). The Bobcats go into the 4A Region 7 bout with a 11-6 record. In their last bout, Hope was routed by Nashville (Nashville, AR), 11-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Dragons clash with the Prescott Curley Wolves (Prescott, AR) in a 3A Region 7 bout, on Friday, April 18. Genoa Central will attempt to advance on its 16-6 season record. The Curley Wolves go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 13-10 league win over Centerpoint (Amity, AR).
