The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) and the host Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN), observed Orono's softball team get by Monticello by a tally of 5-4.
The Spartans (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against Edison (Minneapolis, MN). The Tommies go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Edison tipped Brooklyn Center (Brooklyn Center, MN), 27-15, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Magic clash with the Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN) in a Mississippi 8 bout, on Thursday, April 17. Monticello will attempt to advance on its 1-4 season record.
