The Moorefield Yellow Jackets softball team scored 15 runs and held the host Mountain Ridge Miners to 3 in the Yellow Jackets non-league win on Wednesday.

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Philip Barbour for a non-league battle on Friday, April 18. Moorefield will confront a Colts team coming off a 10-2 league win over Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV). The Colts record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, Mountain Ridge moves to 4-3 on the season. The Miners host Allegany (Cumberland, MD) to confront the Campers in a Western Maryland battle on Friday, April 18. The Campers come into the battle with a record of 10-2. Allegany won 6-2 in their recent non-league battle against Petersburg (Petersburg, WV)
