Illinois High School Softball - Sangamon Valley/Tri-City bounces New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly

In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm softball team scored a tight 6-1 victory over the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers.

The Storm (12-2) will now prepare for their match against Pawnee (Pawnee, IL). The Indians go into the MSM match with a 10-3 record. In their last match, Pawnee tipped Riverton (Riverton, IL), 11-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Vipers battle the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) in a Sangamo match, on Thursday, April 17. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly will attempt to better on its 0-11 season record. The Trojans go into the match with a 8-4 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Rantoul (Rantoul, IL).
