The Seneca Fighting Irish softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Wilmington Wildcats to 6 in the Fighting Irish non-league win on Wednesday.

The Fighting Irish now possess a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newark for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 19. Seneca will confront a Norsemen team coming off a 14-9 non-league loss to Herscher (Herscher, IL). The Norsemen record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Wilmington moves to 12-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Joliet Catholic (Joliet, IL) to confront the Hilltoppers in a non-league battle on Thursday, April 17. The Hilltoppers come into the battle with a record of 8-5. Joliet Catholic won 15-0 in their recent non-league battle against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL)
