The Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC) baseball nipped the visiting Community School of Davidson Spartans (Davidson, NC), 5-4 in Monday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, April 19. Butler will attempt to better on its 11-8 season record. The Titans enter the contest with a 14-6 record after their 14-0 league win over North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC).

The Spartans now sport a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln Charter for a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, April 18. Community School of Davidson will play a Eagles squad coming off a 17-8 non-league win over Patton (Morganton, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 11-5.
