The Johnston Panthers held off the host North Providence Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league test.
The Panthers now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mt. Pleasant for a non-league test on Thursday, April 20.
The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Villa Novans enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Woonsocket was nudged by Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI), 2-0, in a non-league test.
