The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs softball team scored 2 runs and limited the visiting Gilroy Mustangs to 1 in the Monarchs non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Archbishop Mitty improves its record to 12-2 on the year. The Monarchs host Saint Francis (Mountain View, CA) to clash with the Lancers in a West Catholic game on Wednesday, April 19. The Lancers come into the game with a record of 16-1. Saint Francis won 6-0 in their recent non-league game against Gilroy (Gilroy, CA)

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Live Oak Acorns (Morgan Hill, CA) in a Mount Hamilton game, on Tuesday, April 18. Gilroy will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Acorns come into the game with a 4-7 record after their 3-1 league loss to Branham (San Jose, CA).
