Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA) and the visiting North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA), witnessed Cochranton's softball squad prevail over North East by a count of 14-4.

The Cardinals now sport a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Saegertown for a District 10 Region 2 match on Tuesday, April 18. Cochranton will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, North East moves to 3-6 on the season. The Grape pickers host Union City (Union City, PA) to face the Bears in a District 10 Region 3 match on Tuesday, April 18. The Bears go into the match with a record of 4-4. Union City lost 7-6 in their recent non-league match against Cathedral Prep (Erie, PA)
