Cushing Bearkats (Cushing, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wells Pirates (Wells, TX), 10-5 in a league challenge.

The Bearkats now own a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Non Varsity Opponent for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 18.

With the loss, Wells falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Lovelady (Lovelady, TX) to face the Lions in a 2A Region III District 21 challenge on Friday, April 21. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 14-14.
