Arizona High School Softball - Douglas can't hold off Safford

The Safford Bulldogs softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Douglas Bulldogs to 10 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Safford improves its record to 14-11 on the year. The Bulldogs host Sabino (Tucson, AZ) to clash with the Sabercats in a 3A South game on Thursday, April 20. The Sabercats come into the game with a record of 25-3. Sabino won 16-1 in their recent league game against Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ)
In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Rio Rico Hawks (Rio Rico, AZ) in a 4A Gila game, on Wednesday, April 19. Douglas will attempt to improve on its 13-8 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 8-7 record after their 5-2 league loss to Douglas (Douglas, AZ).
